With more than a decade of experience, TechComm Simulation has a world-wide reputation for cost-effective simulation services, and is acknowledged internationally as the company that developed the technology which has become standard in simulation.

TechComm traces its origin to a research and development project funded by Australian Industrial Research and Development Incentive Board in 1982. The first TechComm simulator was delivered in 1985. TechComm is a key member of Yokogawa family of companies after its acquisition in 1998.

TechComm Simulation has access to skilled and experienced staff from the power generation industry ready to assist both utilities and Independent Power Producers in all areas and activities.

TechComm Simulation Services

TechComm Simulation has the tools, experience, and facilities for faithfully emulating many popular Distributed Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers to provide high fidelity replication.

The high fidelity of the models during steady state as well as transient conditions makes TechComm simulators ideal for power plant design analysis, performance analysis and control system validation. TechComm Simulation’s power plant simulators realistically reproduce plant behaviour over a wide range of operations normally encountered. On independent evaluation, TechComm Simulation has been chosen by a number of customers as the preferred software to be used to check out DCS configurations prior to be loaded on the actual plant for commissioning.

TechComm Training Services

The TechComm Training Group was created in response to our customers need to maximise their investment in a Training Simulator. Since creation, TechComm Training has presented both simulator and non-simulator based power plant training on a worldwide scale. The Training Group has also developed a number of programs in partnership with Australian Tertiary Institutions.

Techcomm Trainers apply professional training and evaluation methodologies in Power Plant and Industrial settings. The quality of our training product is maintained by the exacting standards set by the Australian Government in their Registered Training Organisation (RTO) programme. TechComm Simulation is a Registered Training Organisation and its qualifications fit into the Australian Qualification Framework which is common through out all Australian Universities, Polytechnics and other tertiary institutions.

TechComm Operations and Maintenance Services

TechComm has the capability to provide a complete plant Operations & Maintenance service. Our staff are experienced in the operation and maintenance of coal, gas and oil fired plants of between 30 and 660MW capacity and specialise in combined cycle and co-generation plant. Our staff have worldwide operational experience and specialise in skills transfer in operational situations.

By following TechComm's innovative integrated program, generating companies and independent power producers can become self-sufficient in a short time while minimising the risk of plant damage and lost profit caused by inexperienced staff.
