TechComm Simulation has the capability to provide a complete plant operational service.
Our staff are experienced in the O&M of coal, gas, oil and green waste fired plants of between 5 and 660MW capacity. TechComm's innovative integrated skills transfer program enables generating companies and independent power producers to become self-sufficient within a short time frame while minimizing the risk of plant damage and lost profit caused by inexperienced staff.
TechComm Simulation has the capability to supply Power Plant Operators who are experienced in the control of coal, gas and oil fired plant of between 50 and 660 MW capacity and specialise in combined cycle and co-generation plant.
TechComm Operations staff can be supplied for periods of weeks to years. Our staff can bridge the gap between plant acceptance and local staff being developed to the level where they are confident enough to take control. Our service can include the setting up of Power Plant Systems such as plant incident and outage reporting, efficiency audits, routine testing procedures and plant performance and monitoring systems.
Our staff has worldwide operational experience and specialises in skills transfer in operational situations. TechComm Simulation can provide the complete start up service. A typical package follows:
Our experienced operator team takes over plant at post commissioning hand over; Training staff select the local operating team using the TechComm aptitude test; Our staff deliver operational and maintenance training including safety and permit to work modules; Competency assessment of local operating team; Mentoring and skills transfer between TechComm Operations staff and local Operators; Plant hand over to local Operations staff in minimum time frame. By use of this integrated approach, Power Generating Companies and Independent Power Producers can become self sufficient in the minimum time while minimising the chances of plant damage caused by maloperation due to inexperienced staff.
TechComm Simulation has approximately 30 operating personnel available for posting long-term or short-term. Our staff has a minimum of 10 years operating experience on a number of different types of power plant. We have staff capable of operating coal-fired plant (ball or table mills), oil or gas fired plant, gas turbine and combined cycle plant.
